The gelatin mask owes its beneficial properties to the collagen content. The human body produces collagen fibers only to about 25 years of age. Collagen affects the appearance and elasticity of the skin and its proper hydration and restoration. In addition, it cares for strong bones and joints, hair and nails, and strengthens immunity. The gelatin mask has moisturizing, brightening, firming and anti-wrinkle effects on the skin.

How to prepare the gelatin mask yourself?

Before we apply a gelatin mask, we need to prepare the face properly. To do this, you should treat your face with steam and cleanse the skin thoroughly, for example with a gentle scrub. This will open up the pores and allow the components of the mask to penetrate the deep layers of the skin.

Gelatin mask – recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 teaspoons of gelatine,
  • 2 tablespoons of hot (not boiling) water.

Directions:

Dissolve gelatin in water. When the gel that has been formed has cooled down, apply it to your face with a flat brush, cotton pad or a spatula. Avoid the eye area. The layer that we apply cannot be too thin, because it will quickly solidify and tighten. After about 20-30 minutes, wash the mask with warm water.

If your skin is very sensitive, do not remove it as if it was a peel-off mask, because it adheres to the skin really tight and it can cause pain. On the other hand, you will remove unnecessary hair (for example under the nose) and thoroughly cleanse the blackheads.

Gelatin for hair and nails
